Country songwriter formalizes her AI-assisted catalog while emphasizing human authorship, lived experience and transparency in the creative process.

NEW ORLEANS, LA — September 23, 2026 — Songwriter and recording artist LeNae Goolsby has become a verified and claimed artist on the Sonic Intelligence Academy (SIQA) registry, where her music is classified as AI-Assisted.

For Goolsby, the verification is less about attaching a label to the music than putting the creative process on the record. She writes the lyrics, develops the concepts, shapes the stories and directs the creative vision behind her songs. AI is used as a production tool to help turn those songs into finished recordings.

AI is the door, not the room. The story still has to come from somewhere real.

Goolsby came to songwriting decades after first wanting to write songs as a teenager in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Her uncle, Nashville songwriter Joe Chambers, helped make songwriting feel tangible to her long before she began releasing music herself. Chambers’ work included songs recorded by Ricky Van Shelton and Randy Travis, and his influence remains part of Goolsby’s creative story.

That connection is especially visible in Goolsby’s own catalog. “Who Told You That?” was inspired by Chambers’ “Somebody Lied,” recorded by Ricky Van Shelton, while “She Gets The Words” drew inspiration from “I Meant Every Word He Said” and from an experience Goolsby herself lived: being told by the man she loved that he was marrying someone else in two weeks.

The SIQA registry is designed to document AI involvement in music and provide a public record of artist profiles, works and classifications. Goolsby’s profile is both verified and claimed, and her registered catalog identifies her work as AI-Assisted.

“I spent a long time thinking songwriting was something I had missed my chance to do,” Goolsby said. “AI didn’t give me something to say. Life did that. It gave me a way to finally make the songs I was writing sound the way I heard them in my head.”

Goolsby writes country songs from what she calls a grown-woman perspective — songs shaped by love, heartbreak, choices, consequences and the things people understand differently after they have lived through them.
